AzuraCast Basic Setup

Get your AzuraCast streaming server professionally installed and ready to use.

The AzuraCast Basic Setup is designed for web radio operators who already have a suitable VPS and want a clean, working AzuraCast installation without having to deal with Linux, Docker or the initial server configuration themselves.

Included

• Installation on a customer-provided Debian Linux VPS
• Docker installation and configuration
• Installation of the current stable AzuraCast version
• Basic AzuraCast system configuration
• Creation of the main administrator account
• Setup of 1 radio station
• Setup of 1 streaming mount point
• Setup of 1 Streamer / DJ account
• Basic stream configuration including audio format and bitrate
• Basic server and access configuration
• Check of required ports and services
• Restart and functionality test
• Test of the public stream URL
• Final handover of the configured system

Customer Requirements

Before the setup can begin, the customer must provide:

• A suitable VPS running or prepared for Debian Linux
• Root or sudo access to the VPS
• VPS IP address and login credentials
• Desired station name
• Desired stream format and bitrate
• Desired administrator username/email
• Desired DJ / Streamer account details

Remote Access Requirement

For the scheduled setup appointment, the customer must provide working Chrome Remote Desktop access to the computer used for the radio or streaming setup.

Chrome Remote Desktop must be installed, configured and ready to use before the appointment begins.

The customer must be available at the beginning of the session to provide or approve the required remote access.

VPS root or sudo access must also be available separately where required.

If remote access or required login credentials are not available at the scheduled appointment, the setup may have to be rescheduled and additional charges may apply.

SSH / PuTTY Setup

As part of the setup service, we can configure PuTTY on the customer’s computer and create the required SSH connection to the VPS using the provided server credentials.

The customer must provide the VPS IP address, SSH port, username and valid root or sudo access before the scheduled appointment.

The SSH connection will be tested before the AzuraCast installation begins.

Password & Security Policy

For security reasons, customers should enter sensitive passwords themselves whenever possible during the setup session.

If temporary passwords or credentials must be provided to complete the installation, the customer is required to change them after the setup has been completed.

This applies in particular to:

• VPS root or sudo access
• AzuraCast administrator accounts
• SFTP accounts
• Streamer / DJ accounts
• Third-party API accounts and credentials
• Any other account with administrative or sensitive access

We recommend changing all temporary passwords immediately after the final setup and testing have been completed.

Customers remain responsible for the security and storage of their final passwords and access credentials.

Not Included

The Basic Setup does not include:

• VPS rental or hosting fees
• Domain registration
• Custom branding
• Music upload
• Playlist configuration
• Playlist scheduling
• AutoDJ programming
• Additional stations
• Additional mount points
• Multiple user accounts or advanced permissions
• External backup configuration
• Website or web player installation

These services are available with our Advanced and Professional AzuraCast Setup packages.

Setup Appointment & Technical Requirements

If the setup cannot be completed because required information, access credentials, server access, files or other customer-side requirements are missing or not working, an additional appointment may be required and additional charges may apply.

Please make sure that all required access credentials, server details, files and other requested information are available before the scheduled setup appointment.

Unexpected technical issues may require the setup to be continued during a separate appointment.

If the delay or technical issue is caused by us, the required follow-up appointment will of course be provided at no additional charge.

If required customer-side prerequisites are missing or prevent completion of the setup, there is no entitlement to a free follow-up appointment.

The Advaced Setup includes up to 2 hours of scheduled setup time.

Final Result

After completion, you receive a fully installed and tested AzuraCast server with one configured radio station, ready to accept a live stream from your broadcasting software.
